Yes, it's unfortunate but this morning I had a conversation with a Broncos insider.
Apparently they are tossing the season.
This was unknown to me, but the Broncos have not had a top-10 draft pick since '91. If they tank these last two weeks (currently getting whooped by SD), they have a shot at a top-10 pick.
Now it all makes sense.
A team that once looked playoff-caliber suddenly getting pounded on by the Texans?
Hm...
So I'm wondering how do you convince your players to tank the season? I don't think it's possible as a coach so you just have to make horrible play calls, which is what it looks like the team was doing tonight.
