Bowl Season Off to a Good Start?

Last night I was watching the Purdue vs. Central Michigan game. I guess it was the "Motor City Bowl."

Actually I wasn't watching it at all until I realized it was actually a game.

I haven't been into any of the bowl games that have been going so far (is it me or are all the games like South Dakota State vs. Clemson or some shit like that?) but there wasn't anything on (literally, every channel was on the "this is an emergency broadcast test" screen) so I left ESPN on and Purdue was beating Central Michigan 41-27. Looked like a snoozer. But then Central Michigan got a touchdown and a fumble recovery in Purdue territory and the game actually got interesting.

Don't worry you can still read. Central Michigan against Purdue was interesting. But not because I gave two shits who was going to win, only because both quarterbacks were throwing for about 3,459 yards and one QB was acting like the white Randall Cunningham, shaking fools up in the secondary and tossing 40-yard bullets.

So I'm watching this game, hoping that Central Michigan (who?) can make a miraculous comeback, only to be disappointed by Purdue kicking a last-second field goal to win in a defensive struggle, 51-48.

When it was all said and done, the game was still boring as hell and I would never watch a replay, but at least it was close and hopefully that's a sign of things to come. At least today two decent teams that I hate are playing each other. Go ASU (yuck).
