I sometimes feel sorry for Chris Kaman*. He isn't very strong. He isn't quick. He can't jump very high. He doesn't have much of a jumpshot. He doesn't have good footwork. Frankly he lacks a good-looking game pretty much the same way he lacks a good-looking face, and that's probably why he has as little a chance of making the All-Star game this year as he does of making the cover of GQ.
However, despite the utter lack of aesthetic appeal to his game I actually enjoy watching him play. The dude hustles for rebounds like his life depends on it. He finds weird ways, usually involving multiple-combo up and unders, to score in the paint. He consistently and reliably hits cutters with passes from the post. He even has the same number of blocks per game as the CONSIDERABLY more gifted Dwight Howard. These are some of the reasons why he SHOULD be on the All-Star team**.
Oh and he isn't even the most aesthetically deficient player on his own team (see Cassell, Sam) so maybe GQ isn't out of the question...
* My pity is tempered by the fact that he makes 7 figures a year and gets to play basketball for a living.
** Other reasons include how much better he has been playing than every other Center in the West not named Yao Ming or Amare Stoudamire. Seriously, Erick Dampier has (MANY) more votes right now. It's just sad.

Great point. I watched him last night on espn and he was the lone bright spot for the sorry ass clips.
