Earl "The Really, Really Small Pearl" Boykins Is Back

Patience has paid off for the guy who runs this site, my good buddy Sir Smokealot.

A few weeks ago, he was just crushed that sparkplug Earl Boykins, the second-shortest player in NBA history (word to Muggsy Bogues), was still unsigned halfway through the season.

Kev, fret no more.

The Charlotte Bobcats, knowing they need an offensive boost to help them cope with a road-heavy schedule in the second half of the season, have signed 5-foot-5 free-agent guard Earl Boykins for the rest of the season.

Boykins could potentially be in uniform Friday night when the Bobcats (No. 12 in the East at 18-28) visit Golden State.

And if you don't mind, I'ma pop my collar for this insightful response.

Jew magic, baby.

About time. Too bad the Sonics or Lakers didn't pick him up.

He's back!!

Now if we can just get Van Exel back in the league, the NBA will be whole again.
