For some reason they've taken it off of youtube, probably animal cruelty or something. However, it's back (for now) so watch it while it's there.
It's really not much.
I like the arrogance on the part of American media here. The spin is that Pedro is too arrogant to realize that he is violating our culture by participating in cock-fights.
Right. The poor cocks are killing each other.
Meanwhile, we glamorize a 5-year-old kid that kills a bear under his grandfather's guidance.
Hello?
At least the cocks have a fair shot at winning their fight.
Rooster vs. rooster... seems fair to me.
Wild bear vs. old man and grandson with loaded rifles, who are perched in a hunting stand 50 yards away. Hmm, for some reason I'm gonna place my bet on the guys with the rifles.
So here we go again.
"Pedro Martinez and Juan Marichal exhibited appallingly bad judgment in participating in a staged animal fight," Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States. "It doesn't excuse the behavior to find a legal haven for this reprehensible and inhumane conduct. It's animal cruelty, no matter where it occurs."
Welcome to Michael Vick, 2008.

Only Pedro has even less reason to be publicy scrutinized.
He's from a country where cock fighting is not only legal, but considered a sport. In my opinion, it would be more disrespectful of him to tell his countrymen that "No, I can't be an honorary guest at your fight because the Americans will get mad," then to participate in this 'sport' in his homeland.
Give it a rest, America. Go hunt some bears and release your hate.

Seriously! I don't believe in supporting cockfighting but I don't see how it's worse than sport-hunting. There are some serious double standards in action here.
